Join Southern Lakes Credit Union for our annual Shred Day on Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Safely dispose of your confidential documents while helping local families prepare for the school year.

This year, we’re also collecting new school supplies for Forest Park Elementary. Bring a donation along with your documents and help students start the school year with the tools they need to succeed.

Safely shred items containing personal or financial information, including:

  • Junk mail with personal information

Event Guidelines

To help the event run smoothly and safely, please review the following information before you arrive.

Members Only

This event is available exclusively to Southern Lakes Credit Union members.

Not a member yet? Stop by a branch or open an account before the event to participate.

Drive-Thru Event

Please remain in your vehicle throughout the event.

A Southern Lakes Credit Union employee will collect your documents for shredding and any school supply donations from your vehicle.

Before You Shred

Please double-check your documents before arriving.

Do not include important original documents such as:

  • Birth certificates
  • Marriage licenses
  • Social Security cards
  • Passports
  • Property deeds
  • Any document you may need in the future

  • Please do not arrive before the event begins so our team can safely complete setup.
  • Due to the popularity of this event, wait times may occur.
  • The event may end early if capacity is reached.
  • In the event of severe weather, the event may be delayed, canceled, or end early.
